Meltdownerz is your next-gen brand that is blurring the line between art, fashion & culture! 

We were both diagnosed as Autistic in 2024, two years into our relationship and this has been life-changing in helping us understand our differences and why we experience meltdowns.

We are passionate about mental health, embracing your identity, neurodiversity, and uniqueness. We have designed everything in keeping with these values and thrown our creativity into art and photography. We have incorporated modern art, global culture and humour into our designs.

DIVE INTO THE STORY SO FAR

Let’s start from the beginning. Ry and Nico met and fell in love in October 2021. We bonded over our love for fashion, individuality, football, and music (especially BTS). We both grew up being the weirdos/outcasts who struggled to navigate social situations. Fashion was a way of expressing ourselves, and our quirkiness was noticed. As we got older, we found that there was a lack of unique neurodiverse fashion, and we needed to change this.

SUMMER 2023 – THE IDEA BEGAN TO GAIN MOMENTUM

The majority of our collections include art and photography created in our single-bed living space. We found painting to be a form of escapism and therapy, and the people in our lives appreciate how expressive our art is.

WINTER 2023 – THE NAME WAS BORN

The Meltdownerz name was realised during our Autism diagnosis process. We have both experienced meltdowns and shutdowns during our lives, and this diagnosis brought us a level of understanding and clarity about being neurodivergent in a neurotypical society.

EARLY 2024 – THE REAL WORK BEGINS

We began the creation process of what is now the Meltdownerz collection. During this time, we also sourced the best manufacturers for our products. We enjoyed learning about all things business, which cemented our passion for entrepreneurship.

END OF SUMMER 2024 – REFINING OUR CRAFT

With our initial designs in place, we took the time to refine and elevate them. We sought out better suppliers, focusing on higher-quality materials to ensure every piece truly represented our vision. Each design was meticulously reworked, blending creativity with craftsmanship. This period was about growth—improving our product, our process, and our understanding of what Meltdownerz could be. 

WINTER 2024 – THE PIECES START COMING TOGETHER

As the colder months rolled in, so did the excitement. We received our first batch of samples, and for the first time, we could physically hold our vision in our hands. The quality exceeded our expectations, making all the sourcing struggles worth it. With a solid foundation of products, we turned our focus to the website, fine-tuning every detail to create a space that felt like home for our brand and community.

EARLY 2025 – BRINGING THE VISION TO LIFE

The final pieces started falling into place. We organized photoshoots for the landing page, capturing the essence of Meltdownerz through expressive visuals. Each shot told a story of resilience, creativity, and unapologetic self-expression. With the shop fully stocked and our vision clearer, we shifted our focus to the final countdown.

    SUMMER 2025 – THE JOURNEY BEGINS

    We did it. Meltdownerz is officially live! After years of planning, creating, and refining, our vision has become a reality. The launch is just the beginning, we’re diving headfirst into marketing on social media and YouTube, sharing our journey, and showcasing what Meltdownerz is all about.

    Our dream is to one day leave the corporate grind behind and go full-time with the brand, dedicating ourselves to creating, connecting, and growing this community. Through newsletters, vlogs, and behind-the-scenes updates, we’re bringing you along for the ride. Meltdownerz isn’t just a brand, it’s a movement, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.
